This chant was originally composed as part of a Sufi Universal Worship Service honoring the Great Mothers represented in some of the major religious traditions of the world. It incorporates the many faces of the Great Mother - her Wisdom; her darkness and her light; her compassion; her Omniscience. We begin by invoking Sophia, Holy Wisdom, as Mother Creator, and end by asking for the blessing of love she has promised:

"I love those who love me; and those who diligently seek me will find me." (Proverbs 8:17)
